Choc Coconut Raspberry smoothie

This delicious creamy smoothie was the perfect boost yesterday when I felt like something sweet but also full of goodness with spinach and Avocado that you cant really taste.

Ingredients:
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup berries raspberries
1/2 cup spinach
1/2 Avocado
2 scooped tsp cacao powder
1/2 cup coconut cream
1/2 cup almond milk or coconut water
Blend ingredients up and serve topped with goji berries, coconut, and cacao nibs.

Green Detox Smoothie

Feeling a bit sluggish and blah after a long weekend filled with chocolate goodness and everything sweet, here is the life save to make you feel a bit more fresh and lighter to kick start your day properly plus getting ample amounts of nutrients to help detoxify the systems and flush out all the excess toxin built up inside.

Combine

  • 1 c coconut water
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • ÂĽ avocado
  • 1 pear or green apple
  • 1cm ginger root
  • handful of Spinach
  • handful of Kale
  • a few basil or mint leaves

extra options;

  • fish oil 1 T
  • bee pollen 1 T
  • spiralina 1 t

Blend until totally smooth, pour into a big glass

Top with a handful of muesli or Buckwheat Granola ( I used this, new recipe coming soon! )

Indulge and nourish in this refreshing and body loving green smoothie

Choco-Berryliscious Smoothie

Had the perfect start to the day with this Choco-Berryliscious smoothie topped with homemade Granola. Was full of energy for my training session this morning after having this .

Blend up

  • 1 frozen or fresh banana
  • 1/2 cup Berries
  • 3/4 Cup Coconut/almond milk
  • Splash of Greek yoghurt
  • 2 T Flaxseed Oil
  • Scoop of chocolate Protein Powder
  • 2T Cacao powder
  • Sprinkle of Cacao Nibs

Top with Granola or homemade muesli


Indulge and nourish, fuelling your body for the day ahead is very important as it breaks the fast from sleeping through the night and tops up your glycogen stores ready for the training session or day to day activities ahead 🙂

Go-to Green Smoothie

Combine and blend till smooth, about 1 minute

  • ÂĽ avocado, makes it creamy and is full of healthy fats and nutrients
  • 1 banana fresh or frozen which acts as the base
  • ½ – 1 c fresh or frozen fruit for extra nutrients and carbohydrates 
  • 1c spinach or more for added nutrients 
  • 1c water or coconut water, for hydration coconut water for electrolytes 
  • 1T LSA,  for fibre
  • 1t fish oil or 1 T coconut oil or both, for healthy fats
  • 3 brazil nuts, for selenium 
  • 1t handful goji berries, for antioxidant properties
  • 1t spiralina (if available) for amazing benefits

Top with muesli and bee pollen or sheered coconut

Relish in this nutrient dense smoothie for super energy, stamina and a radiant glow

Superfood Green ingredients
Avocados

 Avocados are full of super healthy fats that are essential for glowing radiant skin, its helps to decrease dullness, redness and irritation on the skin and smooth it out.
High in vitamins B6, C, E and K, folate, fibre, pantothenic acid, riboflavin, niacin, magnesium, potassium, copper, manganese
Good source of thiamine, iron, phosphorus and zinc
Contain antioxidant carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin and healthy fatty acids

Spinach

High in vitamins A, B6, C, K and E, Folate, fibre, magnesium, iron, riboflavin, claium, potassium, copper and antioxidants!
Good source of 
thiamine, zinc, omega-3 fatty acids

Creamy Protein Choc Shake

Blend together all ingredients,

  • ½ can Coconut cream
  • ½ c Water
  • 2 T cacao powder
  • 2 scoop choc protein
  • 1 T LSA
  • 1 T almond butter
  • 1 frozen banana large
  • handful cacao nibs

Top with cacao nibs and coconut or coconut yogurt (coyo yogurt) and cacao nibs

Indulge and nourish filled with protein to build, maintain and repair muscle tissue damage aiding in the recovery process, healthy fats to keep you fuller for longer and maintaining your blood sugar levels throughout the day.

Tip – Instead of cacao powder because it is expensive, try cocoa (although its processed a lot more) or carbo powder.

Cacao Powder and dark chocolate

High in manganese, copper, iron and magnesium
Good source of fibre and phosphorus
Contains antioxidants flavonols which can lower blood pressure, improve blood flow and reduce clotting.

Choose dark chocolate with a high percentage e.g. 85% is great beware the high the number the bitter the taste too

Chocolate Blueberry Super Smoothie

Combine..

  • 1c blueberries frozen
  • ½ banana frozen or fresh
  • 1-2 scoop protein chocolate
  • 1-2 T cacao (depending how strong you like it)
  • 1T cacao nibs
  • 1c almond milk
  • 1t honey
  • 1/2c oats (optional)
  • 1t coconut oil/flaxseed oil/fish oil

Blend everything together and

Drink and enjoy

Tip: You can use any milk product or water in all smoothie recipes just depending on what you feel like, is available and makes you feel the best 🙂

Perfect to drink after a session for post recovery getting protein, carbohydrates and tones of nutrients, your body will thank you!

Strawberry Vanilla Smoothie

1c Milk (almond, cow, oat, rice)
1c strawberries
1 vanilla pod
1 t coconut oil
handful goji berries
2 t chia seeds
1 banana (fresh or frozen)
½ t Pure natural vanilla

Blend all ingredient together
Top with fresh berries and pumpkin seeds
Drink up and enjoy
